BOND SURVEY: New High School Branding

The newest bond survey question focuses on the statement of value and brand identity of the new Sherman High School. The statement of value anchors every aspect of the school and is a reflection of what we believe and want for our students, while the brand gives the campus its own identity.  Visit the Bond Website to answer the current questions.

Technology Dept. Offers Office 365 to Staff at No Cost

Did you know you have access to Office 365 in and out of school? Sherman ISD staff can take advantage of Microsoft's Office 365 suite of software anywhere, anytime or from any device. To access the software, visit from any computer, enter your district login credentials, and select the Office 365 option.  You can install this software for free on up to 5 personally managed devices (desktop, phone or tablet). The Office suite will run on Apple, Android and Windows devices.

Sherman HS Powerlifter Medals at State

Sherman High School senior Andrea Torres took silver at the state Powerlifting meet over Spring Break. Freshman Maria Lopez placed 13th. Congratulations!

522 Sherman HS Students Take SAT

Sherman HS its first SAT School Day and the turnout was remarkable. 522 juniors and seniors . SAT School Day allows schools to offer the SAT to juniors and seniors in school, on a school day, ensuring students do not struggle with transportation or scheduling conflicts to complete their test. This program helps provide all students with the opportunity to show colleges they’re ready.

What’s Happening

Public Meeting: Hwy 75 Expansion

The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sherman Municipal Building to unveil preliminary plans for $161 million of improvements to a 12-mile span of U.S. Highway 75. Officials will outline improvements that are designed to increase safety and decrease congestion while also bringing the road to interstate standards. The format will be a come-and-go open house with displays set up to provide information on the proposed project.

Little-Steppers Clinic Saturday

The Sherman Hi-Steppers will host its Little Steppers Clinic Saturday, March 24, from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Sherman High School Gym. The clinic is open to 5 - 12 year olds. Cost is $25 per child if received by March 23, $30.00 per child at the door. Each participant will learn a dance routine and have the opportunity to perform at Spring Show April 6 and 7. They will also receive a t-shirt and 2 tickets to Spring Show. No refunds.For additional questions please contact Lauren Patton at

4th Grade Transition Meetings

Elementary campuses in Sherman ISD will hold 4th Grade Transition meetings featuring Dillingham Intermediate Principal Brett Counce, who will discuss information about the move from elementary school to Dillingham Intermediate.  The schedule will be:

  • March 27 – Crutchfield ES, 8 a.m.
  • March 29 – Washington ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 3 – Neblett ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 4 – Wakefield ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 5 – Jefferson ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 6 – Fairview ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 9 – Sory ES, 8 a.m.
  • April 17 – Dillingham Intermediate, 6 p.m.

Dillingham Spirit Night at McAlister’s Deli March 27

Please mark your calendar to support your Dillingham Trojans by eating at McAlister's Deli for dinner! You can feed your family a delicious meal, buy a gallon (or 2!) of their famous sweet tea, and 20% of your purchase will be donated back to the Dillingham PTA!

Sherman HS Band Pre-UIL Concert March 27

The Sherman HS Band will hold its pre-UIL concert March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Sherman HS Auditorium. Students will perform at UIL competition April 4-6.

Sory Elementary Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night March 29

Sherman Chick-Fil-A will hold a Spirit Night fundraiser Thursday, March 29, from 3 to 10 p.m. to benefit Sory Elementary. Be sure to visit Chick-Fil-A and mention Sory when ordering. A portion of all sales will go to the Sory Elementary PTA.

Student/Staff Holiday March 30, April 2

Sherman ISD will be closed Friday, March 30, for Good Friday, and Monday, April 2, for Easter Break.

HR: Employee Transfer Window Open

Employees may request a transfer for the 2018-2019 school year until Friday, May 11, 2018. Employees may not request a lateral transfer for the 2018-2019 school year after May 11, 2018.  All lateral transfer decisions should be made by Friday, June 1, 2018. If you have questions about this, please contact the Human Resources Department at 903-891-6410.  Please visit with your supervisor prior to requesting a transfer. To submit a transfer request:

  1. Log into the Employee Service Center in TEAMS.  Your username and password are the same as your email and network username and password
  2. Click on My Employment Record.
  3. Click on My Employee Transfer Request.
  4. Click on the Job Category.
  5. Find the job(s) you are interested in applying for and check the appropriate boxes.
  6. Complete all tabs under Transfer Details.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. If you decide to make any additions or changes to your request, please make sure you remember to hit Submit each time.

Communications: Teacher Website Training March 22

The Communications Department will host Teacher Website training at Sherman High School Thursday March 22 at 7 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Join Sean Vanderveer to get help with setting up your teacher webpage, making changes to your current page, or learning more about how to use the new website.
