Sherman ISD to Host College & Career Week

As the Sherman Independent School District continues to build a college and career readiness culture for all students, the district will host College & Career Week Monday, September 9 through Friday, September 13, 2019.

Early college and career preparation is the key to ensuring students find the right fit for their post-secondary plans. To help with their preparation, College & Career Week will promote the importance of higher education, introduce important college and career readiness tools, and highlight the importance of planning for the future. Each day of the week will have a different theme to compliment the elementary and secondary campus activities planned as part of College & Career Week 2019:

Monday-Marvel Your Future

Tuesday-Prepare for Success

Wednesday-Be All You Can Be

Thursday-It All Starts Here

Friday-We Are College Bound

A complete list of campus daily activities and lessons for Sherman ISD’s College & Career Week 2019 is located here.

Also, as part of College Week, Sherman High School 11th and 12th-grade students will attend a college fair on Thursday, September 12, during the school day. More than 50 colleges and universities will be in attendance, and all students will have the opportunity to speak to college representatives personally. The 9th and 10th-grade students will be completing a SuperMatch College search in Naviance.

Individuals participating in College and Career Week activities are encouraged to post a photo on social media tagging @ShermanISD and using the hashtags #BuildingBearcats and #CCWeek19.
