Athletes Sign To Play at Collegiate Level

Congratulations to these students and their families for inking letter to continue their education and athletic career at the collegiate level: 

May Signing Day

Shamiah Johnson, Ranger College

Johnson is a four-year varsity letterman on the Lady Cat Basketball team and has earned All-District awards for three years. She made the All-Texomaland list two times and was voted by her peers as the 2023 Team MVP.

 

Ava Godfredsen, Cisco College

Godfredsen is a three-year letterman on the Lady Cat Soccer team and two-year starter. She has earned All-District distinctions the past two years.

 

Emma Sturm, Cisco College

Sturm lettered with Lady Cat Soccer for two years and earned All-District and Academic All-District distinctions.

 

Antonio Zamora, Ranger College

Zamora is a two-year letterman with Bearcat Baseball and was tapped for the 1st Team All-District list this past season. He is also a member of the Business Professionals of America and National Technical Honor Society.

 

Roman Quintana, Austin College

Quintana is a three-year letterman with the Bearcat Soccer team and made the 1st Team All-District list this past season. He was also named to the THSCA Academic All-State list as an honorable mention.

 

Savannah Schoen, Austin College

Schoen is a four-year varsity letterman for the Sherman Hi-Steppers, where she served as the spirit and social coordinator for three years. She was awarded Ms. High Kick for 2021-22.

 

Winter Signing Day

Jaze Drost, Hendrix College Football

Drost is a two-year starter and two-year letterman on Bearcat Football, and this past season, he accumulated 28 tackles, five assists and four interceptions among other stats.

 

Madison Jarvis, McPherson College Softball

Jarvis started for Lady Cat Softball all four years of high school and made 2nd Team All-District twice. She was also named to the Academic All-District for three years and was picked for the Bearcat Strong award and Team MVP award.

 

Landon Keizer, Northeastern Oklahoma State Soccer

Keizer is a first year starter for Bearcat Soccer. At a previous school, he garnered multiple team honors and was selected for the Rush Soccer Club National Team.

 

Bailey Miller, Hardin Simmons University Softball

Miller is a four-year letterman and starter for Lady Cat Softball and is a two-time 1st Team All-District Infielder. She was named an All-Texomaland infielder for three years and made the Academic All-District list three times.

 

Darian Minor, Southeastern Oklahoma State University Football

Minor is a three-year letterman and starter for Bearcat Football and was a 2nd Team All-District Center. He graded out at 91% with 13 pancakes this past season and was named to the 1st Team All-Texomaland list.

 

Catrena Ransom, Austin College Cheer

Ransom is a three-year letterman on Bearcat Cheer and holds a leadership position on the team. She is also a two-year spirit state finalist.

 

Paxton Samuelson, Odessa College Baseball

Samuelson started for Bearcat Baseball for three years and made 1st Team All-District last season. In the season prior, he was top-ranked in ERA in 5A Texas high school baseball.

 

Levi Ullah, Austin College Football

Ullah is a two-year letterman and starter for Bearcat Football and was graded out at 74% with 8 pancakes his senior year.

 

Marissa Wells, Bethany College Softball

Wells lettered in and started for Lady Cat Softball for all four years of high school, garnering Offensive MVP twice and making the 2nd Team All-District list twice. She also made the Academic All-District list three times and received an All-Texomaland honor last season.

 

Garrett Wilkens, Davidson College Soccer

Wilkens is a three-year letterman and starter for Bearcat Soccer. He made the 1st Team All-District list twice and has played in international soccer games and high-profile regional matches.
