Sherman ISD is pleased to welcome Carly Snead as the new Director of Finance.

Snead brings 16 years of experience in Texas public school finance, serving most recently as the Chief Financial Officer at Bonham ISD. She has also worked at Melissa, Community and Northwest ISDs.

“Carly’s experience in and knowledge of Texas public school finance will be a tremendous asset to Sherman ISD,” said Mandi Lewis, Chief Financial Officer. “I am excited to welcome her into the Bearcat family and looking forward to her building upon a foundation of financial success and transparency.”

Snead is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She is also a TASBO (Texas Association of School Business Officials) Registered Texas School Business Administrator.

“Since I’ve moved to the Sherman/Denison area, I’ve loved it,” Snead said. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to serve the Sherman ISD and ensure its fiscal responsibility.”

Snead lives in Denison and enjoys time with her niece and nephew.
