Sherman ISD Employees Receive Free COVID-19 Vaccinations

Several Sherman ISD employees received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination on Friday, January 8, 2021. Through a partnership with the Grayson County Health Department and Texoma Medical Center, SISD administered close to 600 vaccination shots to employees for free.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. David Hicks, started his morning off as the first person in the district to receive a vaccination at 9 am. SISD campus nurses vaccinated roughly 30 employees every 15 minutes until 3 pm. In three-weeks, each employee vaccinated this round will return to receive their second dose of the vaccine. Thank you to each of our campus nurses for administering the shots and always being great! We all truly hope this is a start to normalcy! #BearcatStrong
