Fifty-three Sherman High School students have been recognized with a 2018 Advanced Placement scholar award. The Board of Trustees acknowledged the Scholar Award recipients and presented them with certificates for their academic accomplishments.
The College Board AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams. The national program has five categories which United States students are able to qualify for—AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, AP Scholar with Distinction, AP State Scholar, and AP National Scholar. This year, 53 Sherman High School students were recognized in three of the five categories—AP Scholar, Scholar with Honor and Scholar with Distinction.
