The Sherman ISD School Board voted March 8 to suspend SISD Superintendent Dr. Tyson Bennett with pay from his position as superintendent, effective immediately, following a closed meeting with legal counsel.  

The Board also voted to appoint Deputy Superintendent Dr. Thomas O’Neal as acting superintendent, effective immediately.
