Check Back-to-School Immunizations Off Your To-Do List!
Sherman ISD wants to encourage parents and guardians to take care of any needed back-to-school immunizations early!
State law requires children to be immunized against certain vaccine-preventable diseases or have a valid exemption to attend school in Texas. See the required vaccines.
Depending on your child’s grade level, updated immunization records may be necessary for your child to start the 2024-25 school year. This is most likely to impact your child if they are entering kindergarten or seventh grade.
Immunizations are available through your healthcare provider or clinic.
The Grayson County Health Department, located at 515 North Walnut, is a provider of low-cost immunizations as well.
- Call 903-893-0131 ext. 1235 or 1237 for an appointment. Limited walk-ins are available.
- Please note the Health Department is unable to accept CHIPS or private insurance.
- Families must provide a paper copy of their child’s complete shot record in English.
Sherman ISD will also host vaccine clinics in July and August in conjunction with Passport Health/Staying Healthy Medical Services to help meet vaccine requirements.
