Sherman ISD is now enrolling incoming kindergartners for the 2024-25 school year! To attend kindergarten, the child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2024.

First, families must complete the online registration form.

Next, the following required documents should be taken to the child's future school:

• Proof of Residency (current utility bill, lease, etc.)
• Up-to-date Immunization Records (see immunization information)
• Child's original birth certificate (photocopies are not accepted).
• If the child has a Social Security number, you will need the original Social Security card.
• Parent/Guardian state-issued identification card or driver’s license, if applicable

To verify your child’s school, please view the SISD campus attendance zone map. Contact the campus with any questions regarding the enrollment process. 

Kindergarten Bearcat Camp

Kindergarten Bearcat Camp is set for late July at your student's zoned elementary. Parent orientation will be held July 23 at 5:30 p.m. The camp for incoming kindergartners will be held July 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This learning opportunity helps both students and parents get acclimated to the routines and expectations of elementary school.
