SHS Announces New Volleyball Head Coach
Sherman ISD is excited to announce Yolanda Beasley as the new Sherman High School head volleyball coach. Beasley will take over the program immediately in preparation for the upcoming fall 2021 season.
Beasley has 29 years of experience in teaching and coaching and most recently served as the head volleyball coach and health teacher at Little Elm High School in Little Elm ISD.
Athletic Director Bob Jones says Beasley is the complete package as a coach with several years of experience. Jones believes that Beasley has done great things in her coaching career and as a player, including four trips to the USA Volleyball National Tourney Conference Volleyball player in College.
“Coach Beasley is an exciting hire due to her experience and accomplishments,” Jones said. “She now sits on the Texas Girls Coaches Association Board of directors and works with the UIL at the state level for all students. She has shown her versatility as she has continued to coach numerous sports as she has advanced in her career. We’re happy to have her join our staff.”
An in-person meet and greet will be held in honor of Coach Beasley Monday, June 21, 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the foyer of the Competition gym. Please enter from the west entrance of the athletic facilities. Parents and students are encouraged to attend the event to meet Coach Beasley and receive information about the next school year and season.
