Sherman ISD has released the first issue of its new district publication, Bearcat Pride Magazine. The 24-page magazine features stories that focus on student achievement, district innovation, students and staff academic highlights and successes, and provides students, parents and the community with another avenue to find out about the great things happening in Sherman ISD.
In the first issue, readers can learn about the new Sherman High School Associates Degree program, review the official Sherman High School Class of 2019 Graduation recap, and become informed on how college and career preparation is positively impacting students in Sherman ISD.
"We're excited to produce this publication for our community. It will provide an in-depth look inside of Sherman ISD and another avenue for our community to stay connected to our district," SISD Director of Communications Kimberly Simpson said.
Bearcat Pride Magazine has three additional issues scheduled for a quarterly release. The district plans to work with high school journalism programs to include student writing and photography in the upcoming issues. A limited number of physical copies will be printed for each issue, and they will be placed in schools and area businesses.
