Piner Cheer Coach Named Nfinity Texas Middle School Coach of the Year
Nfinity Athletic is an international company based in Atlanta, Georgia that markets female athletic gear and promotes female athlete recognition with ambassador and award programs as well as top performance camps for students to grow in their skills. This year, Nfinity began the Coach of the Year program which recognizes the best of the best cheerleading coaches at each level, from every state.
Piner Middle School’s cheer coach, Stephanie Littrell, was named the first Middle School/Junior High Coach of the Year for the state of Texas. Coach Littrell was nominated by a parent of one of her cheerleaders, and she was up against seven additional finalists for this award.
In her interview with Nfinity, Coach Littrell spoke about how she coaches using a growth mindset style to build confidence in her students. She said, “The excitement and pure joy the girls feel when they hit new skills and grow as a cheer family is the biggest reward.”
Coach Littrell is in her second year coaching cheer for Piner. She has taught Special Education in Sherman ISD for four years.
