Head Start, Pre-K Registration Now Underway

Do you have a little one at home, ready to start learning in the classroom? Sherman ISD’s Early Childhood Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start programs are beginning to register students for the 2023-2024 school year!

Both programs offer a high-quality curriculum that’s engaging and exciting for young children. Pre-K and Head Start are free, full-day programs that provide transportation to and from school if your child lives more than two miles from the assigned campus. If your child will be three or four years old by September 1, 2023, they may be eligible for these programs.

Pre-registration for Pre-K and Head Start requires an online application. This online application may be completed at home at your convenience, or assistance in completing the application will be available during events on Saturday, April 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday, April 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Neblett Elementary School.

Once the online application portion has been completed, several documents are required to complete the application. These materials can be returned to the Sherman ISD Central Office on one of the following registration dates: Wednesday, April 5 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or Thursday, April 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Find more information about eligibility and registration requirements on the ECC enrollment page: www.shermanisd.net/ecc. The link to begin the online registration process will also be available on this page starting Saturday. Call (903) 891-6545 with Pre-K questions or (903) 891-6680 with Head Start questions.
