Six members of this year's Lady Bearcat Basketball team received All-District 10-5A Honors this season, with four receiving honors for their performance in the classroom and on the court.
"All these young ladies are exceptional both on and off the court," said Kara Skinner, Head Girls Basketball Coach. "They are setting the bar high for the future of our program, and we are so proud of the way they represent our basketball program."
One athlete was named to the Second Team All-District, and four others were Honorable Mentions.
"We compete in an extremely tough district, so these selections were hard-earned and very much deserved," Skinner said.
Four student-athletes also received the honor of being selected as Academic All-District, meaning they maintained a "A" average or higher.
"We are especially proud of our Academic All-District selections as we acknowledge how difficult it can be to maintain a 90 or above average and compete twice a week during the season while juggling early morning practices," Skinner said.
