Congratulations to Sherman High School's Percussion Ensemble for their first-place finish in the Inaugural Texas Virtual Percussion Ensemble Competition. They were awarded a $500 prize donation to the band program. 

“Thank you to the district for the support over this trying year. The competition was very difficult but our students excelled at the competition,” said Dr. Andrew Veit, assistant band director. “We couldn’t be more proud of Ensemble students.”

Percussion Ensemble competed against other programs from around the North Texas area, beating out many 6A programs. The ensemble’s award joins a growing number of achievements from the SHS band program this year.
