Sherman ISD Codes & Handbooks

  • Sherman ISD utilizes the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) model Student Code of Conduct as a basis for the SISD Student Code of Conduct. The TASB model is updated every year and after each legislative session to include changes in the law (e.g., Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code).

In accordance with state law, the Student Code of Conduct is made available to all families through the Sherman ISD website. An acknowledgment signature page is provided to all parents/guardians at the beginning of the school year accepting responsibility for accessing the Student Code of Conduct. Should internet access not be available, a print copy will be provided upon request. English and Spanish versions will be made available.

The Sherman ISD Student Handbook is a general reference guide that outlines parental rights as specified in state or federal law as well as certain district policies, procedures, and rules.
