Winter Guard Promoted, Places 7th at WGI Regional

The Sherman High School Winter Guard competed at the Winter Guard International Regional contest in Tulsa, Okla. March 7-9, testing their abilities against 53 teams from seven different states.

The varsity team placed 7th overall in the their round, beating their previous competition score by 15.5 points. They also surpassed the promotion score for the local Texas circuit by five points and were promoted to the next classification, Scholastic A.

"We are very proud of their growth and success this season," said Michaela Bocock, color guard director. "We look forward to finishing out our competition season over the next two weeks."
