Superintendent Thomas O'Neal Named Community Leader of the Year

Sherman ISD Superintendent Thomas O’Neal was honored for his service and commitment to the Sherman community during the 84th Annual United Way of Grayson County Kickoff Event

The Community Leader of the Year award, presented by Great Plains Bank, recognizes an individual whose leadership and service have made a meaningful impact across the community.

O’Neal was recognized for an approach to leadership that extends beyond his role as superintendent.

According to the United Way, his intentional leadership has helped foster a culture of pride, connection, service and excellence across the district, creating a positive impact that extends beyond Sherman ISD schools and into the greater Sherman community.

Whether supporting students and staff or lending a hand at community events, O’Neal continues to demonstrate that meaningful leadership is rooted in showing up, serving others and leading by example.
