SHS Girls Powerlifting Competes at State

The Sherman High School Girls Powerlifting competed at the state meet in Edinburg on March 15! Ariana Jarillo made the podium, placing fifth with a total of 660 pounds. Congratulations to all the lifters for a wonderful season!

Students qualified after a first-place finish as a team in the THSWPA Region 6 meet on February 21, sending eight to the meet.

• Aryana Hernandez - Total of 785 pounds
• Jada Washington - Total of 970 pounds
• Haley Gentry - Total of 855 pounds

Sherman had a total of 50 points as a team, five points ahead of second place.
