SHS Artists Win Gold in VASE

Congratulations to the Sherman High School artists who competed at the regional Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) on March 1 at Independence High School! Nine artists submitted a total of 14 artworks, all of which received a Level 4 in Division 3 and 4 and earned them a gold medal.

These artists are:

• Ella Woody
• Rosanna Kim
• Adrianna Vasquez
• Erika Lopez
• Yuselmy Jimenez
• Lindiwe Senzanje
• Adrian Santiago
• Anna Love

These students were in the top 10% of artists and made it to the final round for state judging.

Jimenez qualified for the state contest in San Marcos April 25-26 and will be eligible for a Gold Seal, the highest honor in the contest.
