School Supply Drive Supports Students in Need

School Supply Drive Supports Students in Need

Community members can help support local children and families in need through a back-to-school supply drive underway now!

Monetary donations will support economically disadvantaged students across Sherman ISD.

Sherman ISD enrolls about 7,800 students, and approximately 73% of those live in low-income households. Many of these families rely on or could benefit from donated school supplies.

Contributions will support economically disadvantaged students across the district in Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Funds will be used to purchase pre-packaged supply kits, which contain items from the approved Sherman ISD school supply lists. Staff will take the packs to Sherman schools, where teachers, counselors and other staff will distribute them to students and families in need.

To make a donation, please contact Julie Kerr, director of Partners in Education, at jkerr@shermanisd.net or 903-891-8733.
