Register Your Incoming Kindergartner for the 2025-26 School Year

Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year is now underway! To attend kindergarten, the child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1. 

The first step is to complete the online registration form available at www.shermanisd.net/register. 

The following documents are also required for registration and should be brought to the campus where your child will attend school: 

• Proof of Residency - Current water, gas or electric bill (within the last 60 days) or lease
• Up-to-date Immunization Records - see requirements 
• Child's Original Birth Certificate - Photocopies are not accepted; certified birth certificates can be ordered online
• If the child has a Social Security number, you will need the original Social Security card.
• Parent/guardian state-issued identification card or driver’s license, if applicable

Families who will attend the new Parker Elementary, opening in August at Heritage Ranch Trail and Plainview Road, should return documents to Wakefield Elementary.
