SHS Junior Classical League Scholars Headed to National Convention

Sherman High School will have qualifiers at the National Junior Classical League (NJCL) Convention after a brilliant performance at the state JCL convention April 5.

The results are:

Level 1:
Isabella Armijo-Dobbins (9) - 8th place, Greek Derivatives
Kian Askari (9) - 8th place, Greek Life and Literature
Brennan Burton (9) - National Qualifier; 3rd place, Vocal Solo; 8th place, Greek History, magna cum laude Pentathlon; 8th place, Vocal Ensemble
Anthony Fielden (11) - 7th place, Reading Comprehension Level 1; 7th place, Poetry, cum laude Pentathlon
Colten Nottingham (9) - 8th place, Ancient Geography, cum laude Pentathlon

Level 2:
Ayden Onwu (10) - National Qualifier; 5th place, Roman History Monarchy and Republic, cum laude Pentathlon

Level 3:
Kenzie Amaral (11) - 10th place, Latin Derivatives, magna cum laude Pentathlon
Aiden Hill (11) - National Qualifier; 1st place, 50M Freestyle Swim; 7th place, Vocal Solo, cum laude Pentathlon; 8th place, Vocal Ensemble

Level Veteran:
Isabella Price (12) - National Qualifier; 5th place, Greek Derivatives; 6th place, Latin Derivatives
