Check Your 2026-27 School Bus Route

Check Your 2026-27 School Bus Route

Bus route and stop information for the 2026-27 school year can be found through Sherman ISD's Find Your Bus tool. Families can use this tool to confirm their student's transportation information, including eligibility for bus service, assigned bus stop and pickup/drop-off times.

Be sure to check Find Your Bus regularly, as pick-up times may change, especially at the start of the school year.

Find Your Bus

We recommend reviewing your child's assigned bus number, pickup location and pickup/drop-off times with your child so they know which bus to ride and where to get on and off. Practice with younger children so they understand how to recognize their stop and become familiar with their surroundings.

Here Comes the Bus

Families are also encouraged to download Here Comes the Bus, a free app that allows you to track your child's school bus in real time and receive push notifications. Please note that it may take a few days at the beginning of the school year for the system to be configured and correctly associate your child with their bus route.

Bus Eligibility Guidelines

Sherman ISD provides bus transportation in accordance with Texas law and district policy. In general, students who live two or more miles from their assigned campus are eligible for regular bus transportation. Students who have chosen to attend a school other than their zoned campus are not eligible.

The two-mile eligibility standard should not be interpreted as a determination that it is safe or appropriate for a student to walk to school. Families are responsible for determining the best way for their child to get to and from school if district transportation is not available, whether that means driving, carpooling, walking, riding a bike or some other arrangement.

Back-to-School Tips

  • Students should be visible at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
  • During the first few days of school, buses may run later than normal as routes are established and students become familiar with procedures. We appreciate your patience.
  • If your child will not ride the bus to school on the first day but plans to ride home that afternoon, please notify your child's campus.
  • If your child's assigned bus arrives after school but your child is not on board, contact your child's campus. Campus staff will work with Transportation to quickly locate your student.

Bus transportation is a service Sherman ISD is proud to provide for eligible riders, and we appreciate families partnering with us to help make every ride safe and successful. Students play an important role in maintaining a safe and orderly environment by following bus safety expectations and listening to the directions of our transportation staff.

We encourage all bus riders and families to review the bus rider expectations and safety guidelines available on the Transportation webpage before the first day of school. Together, we can help make sure every Bearcat has a safe, positive experience getting to and from school each day. If you have any questions, please contact the Sherman ISD Transportation Department at 903-891-6433.

Thank you for helping us start the school year safely and smoothly. We appreciate your patience, partnership and support.
