Academic Calendar Set for 2025-26 School Year

The SISD Board of Trustees approved the academic calendar for the 2025-26 school year at their February meeting. Download the calendar below or review key dates.

The calendar was developed by a committee of staff members, parents and community members based on a number of factors, such as maximizing time for instruction, providing days for staff development and work days, and building in instructional minutes in case of inclement weather. 

The district has also traditionally maintained a common Spring Break with Grayson College due to the number of students enrolled in dual credit classes. Next school year, Spring Break will move to the third week of March rather than the second week in order to maintain alignment with Grayson College.

Additionally, a staff professional development day held after Spring Break in the 2024-25 school year will move to before Spring Break in the 2025-26 school year in order to provide sufficient instructional time after Spring Break prior to the start of state testing.
