Art
Sherman ISD is proud to offer visual art classes at all our campuses, including the elementary level, where students receive 50+ minutes of instruction each week from a full-time elementary art teacher. Visual art classes teach students about composition, color theory and other areas while fostering creativity and critical thinking. A variety of mediums are used to explore the elements of art and principles of design.
Students have the chance to display their artistic prowess and craftmanship at a yearly districtwide art show, and high school students can participate in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), hosted by the Texas Art Education Association.
