Device Policy

Sherman ISD will enforce new rules in the 2025–26 school year that limit the use of personal communication devices, such as phones, smartwatches, and earbuds, to comply with Texas House Bill 1481. This law prohibits student use of these devices anywhere on campus during the school day, including at lunch and between classes. These changes aim to reduce distractions and improve focus.

SISD encourages families to utilize the Here Comes The Bus app to help them monitor bus arrival times and the real-location of their child's school bus from their smartphone, tablet or computer. With this app, you can have peace of mind knowing when to send your children to the bus stop and when they have arrived at school. You can also sign up for push notifications when the bus is near your child's bus stop.
