Hello! My name is Alexa Smith and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers here at Wakefield. I am so excited about our new school year!

A little bit about me,

I am from the Sherman area and grew up here. I attended Texas Tech University and graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2019. I am currently working on my Master's of Child Development at TWU. I began my teaching career by teaching Pre-K for two years in Waco, Texas. I then moved back to the Sherman area and joined the Wakefield team for the 21-22 school year. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Wakefield, and my fourth year of teaching. 

I love spending time with my husband and our two dogs, Bella and Duke. We love to travel and spend time with our families.
