Hello, my name is Mrs. Van Sickle. After several years working in the private sector, I realized my goal of becoming an educator. I’m blessed to say this is my fifth year working at an exceptional school like Fairview Elementary. I have taught second, third and fourth grades in my time here at Fairview. Currently, I’m teaching third and fourth grade--ELAR/Social Studies. I enjoy the challenge of teaching young students and helping them prepare for their future education and life beyond Fairview.

My education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Design/Online Teaching from Concordia University.

Currently, my husband and I live in Sherman. When not at work, we like to travel and stay busy with our family and serving in our local church. We recently took a mission trip to Haiti and were blessed to work with elementary school children in that country. That experience has helped reinforce the need for a safe, fun and challenging classroom environment which I strive to provide for our children every day.
