Welcome to Wakefield Elementary!

This year our them is "Hiking into a New Adventure!"  Considering what we have been living with for the past six months I know that this year will be full of adventures!

This is my third year at Wakefield.  Prior to coming to Wakefield I taught for 15 years in McKinney and before that I taught multiple grades in Canada.  I am originally from Canada and have been in Texas for 23 years.

I have 4 boys, 1 wonderful daughter-in-law, 1 ADORABLE GRANDSON named, Andrew, and an extremely cute dog named Sky. 

Most of my teaching experience has been in Kindergarten and first grade.  I truly believe that kinder and first grade build the foundation in students for a love of learning, a motivation to learn, and the building blocks of becoming an amazing student and citizen.  

I want you to know that I am here to help your child to grow both emotionally and academically but it is not just one sided.  A well rounded student needs support from their teachers, school community and their parents.
