Hi all parents and students!

My name is Daisy Martinez. I am so happy to be at Washington Elementary!  

I am from Gunter Tx and attended Grayson College for 2 years then transferred to Texas Woman’s University where I obtained a Bachelor’s of science degree in education with a focus in bilingual education in 2016. 

I have the privilege of teaching 1st grade, and I am so excited to see every single one of my wonderful students grow throughout this school year! 

I was born in Sherman and have lived in Gunter my whole life and I currently still do. I grew up visiting Sherman when I was younger, and I love that I now get to carry out my career at Sherman ISD. :) 

A few things I love: spending time with my family, baking, crafting and DIYs, playing with all of my wonderful nephews.

I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them have the best 1st grade year full of joy, accomplishments, growth, and sweet memories!

¡Mi nombre es Daisy Martínez y estoy muy feliz de estar en Washington Elementary!

Soy de Gunter Tx, asistí a Grayson College durante 2 años y después a la Universidad de Texas Woman’s, donde obtuve una licenciatura en ciencias con especialización en educación bilingüe en 2016.

¡He tenido el privilegio de enseñar 1er grado y estoy muy emocionado de ver a cada uno de mis maravillosos estudiantes crecer durante este año escolar!  

Nací en Sherman Tx y he vivido en Gunter Tx toda mi vida y actualmente todavía vivo allí. Crecí visitando a la cuidad de Sherman cuando era más joven y me encanta que ahora pueda llevar a cabo mi carrera en Sherman ISD. :)  Algunas cosas que amo: pasar tiempo con mi familia, cocinar postres, hacer manualidades, y jugar con todos mis maravillosos sobrinos.

¡Espero conocer a su hijo/a y ayudarlo a tener el mejor año de primer grado lleno de alegría, logros, crecimiento y dulces recuerdos!
