Miss Ashlyn Bickings
Hi Wakefield Parents and Students!
My name is Ashlyn Bickings and I am so excited to be back as a Wakefield Mustang for the 2020-2021 school year!
I am from Little Rock, AR, and graduated from Baylor University in 2006. I obtained my teaching certificate through a Masters program at Texas Woman's University in 2010.
I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade and am so exited to be teaching 3rd grade again! This will be my 10th year teaching.
A few things I love: traveling, reading, catching up on TV shows, playing with my English Bulldog, Tucker, and taking roadtrips with my fiance.
I cannot wait to get to know my new class this year! I know this year will hold a few challenges due to COVID-19, but I know we will be successful together! love to be in contact with my parents at all times, so feel free to email me anytime!
I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them have the best 3rd grade year full of joy, accomplishments, growth, and sweet memories!

This series is my favorite series to get children hooked on for so many reasons!
1. It grows with the reader from first grade to fourth/fifth grade
2. It takes a brother and sister on adventrues to different locations around the world and different time periods. It teaches them not only geography but history through time travel.
3. The family unit is strong within the brother and sister and how they help eachother is a positive role model to read about.
I just love this series and hope your child does too!
