Will an absence be excused or unexcused? Review what types of absences may be excused, and be sure to submit parent and doctor's notes within 3 school days of your child's return to school.
Remember, regardless of whether an absence is excused, students must attend class 90% of the days a class is offered to receive credit or a final grade. Students who fall below the 90% attendance requirement will be required to complete make-up hours to earn class credit.
Track Your Child's School Attendance
In addition to grades, families can use the Sherman ISD Parent Portal to monitor student attendance information, including the number of absences and tardies.
