Student Nutrition

Healthy school meals are an essential part of the school day and set kids up for success in and out of the classroom. Research has found that school meals are the healthiest meals most children get in a day and are associated with better attendance rates, fewer missed school days and better test scores.
Sherman ISD and our student nutrition provider, Aramark, are committed to providing students with meals that are both delicious and nutritious. Thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision, all SISD students receive these meals at no cost.
Help SISD Continue to Qualify for Meal Funding!
Sherman ISD is able to provide free meals to all students in the district, thanks to household income data provided by parents each year on the online student registration form. Be sure to respond to the socioeconomic survey annually!
In addition to helping our schools continue to qualify for meal funding, the survey impacts federal and state funding to SISD and provides additional benefits to students and families who qualify, including:
- Free dual credit classes
- SAT and ACT fee waivers
- College application fee waivers
If you didn’t make a household income selection as part of this year’s registration form, please take a few minutes to log back on and help SISD continue to offer free meals to all students!
