Regional Day School Program for the Deaf
Sherman ISD is home to the Sherman Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD), which serves students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing from districts in Grayson, Fannin, Cooke and Collin counties through shared agreements. Sherman RDSPD provides free services based on each student’s individual needs as determined by assessment. Services are available for early childhood through high school in centralized classrooms for intensive instruction, and students spend some portion of their day in the general education setting based on their needs. Centralized campuses include Fred Douglass Early Childhood Center, Crutchfield Elementary School, Sherman Middle School and Sherman High School.
