Special Populations Advisory Council for Excellence (SPACE)
The Sherman ISD Special Populations Advisory Council for Excellence (SPACE) is a collaborative partnership between families and district leaders dedicated to strengthening services, programs, and educational opportunities for students receiving Special Populations support.
The council has approximately 25 parents or guardians of students from early childhood through high school and the ACES transition program reflecting the diverse range of services and supports provided by SISD. It meets four times a year to provide feedback, discuss district initiatives, review new ideas, and collaborate with district leaders to strengthen special populations services for all students.
