Circle of Success Recognition Event

Circle of Success Honored Students don't always fit into one category. They may not be in the most rigorous academic classes, may not be the most popular, or may not be heavily involved. However, they are students who have shown excellent character, leadership and service and demonstrated a high degree of integrity.

The committee that selects Honored Student finalists is made up of SEF board members who are not parents of students attending SHS or JLC, and they do not know the names of students during the selection process. A nominee's outside circumstances, such as a part-time job or other difficulties, are taken into consideration. Points are earned for the Byron Davis Awards for nominees and finalists.

After they are chosen by the committee, students are asked to select an educator who inspired and pushed them to become an outstanding scholar and leader. This could be a memorable childhood teacher or a staff member who served as a mentor.

The form has closed. Educators chosen by honored students will be notified and asked to complete a biographical form for the Circle of Success Recognition Event.
