Battle of the Ax and Homecoming Only

For the Battle of the Ax and Homecoming, the following streets are closed:

• North Rusk Street immediately in front of Bearcat Stadium
• Pecan Street between Highway 75 and North Rusk Street
• Lincoln Street west of Piner Middle School

The map below outlines VIP parking areas and shuttle routes that will take fans to and from Bearcat Stadium for BOTA and Homecoming. General fan parking is available along streets surrounding the stadium. 

Other Home Games

For regular home games, the following streets are closed:

• North Rusk Street immediately in front of Bearcat Stadium
• Lincoln Street west of Piner Middle School

Battle of the Ax and Homecoming Only

Sherman ISD provides free shuttle bus service to help people get to Bearcat Stadium for the Battle of the Ax and homecoming football game, respectively. Shuttles will pick people up in surrounding areas starting one hour before game time and continue to run until 30 minutes after the game is over to take them back to their vehicles. 

Shuttle routes will run on Crockett, Travis, Washington and Walnut streets, as well as other smaller streets in the area, as shown on the map below. Bus drivers will also watch for any pedestrians who would like a ride to the stadium. Shuttles drop off and pick up on the home side of the stadium only.

A limited amount of handicap parking and seating is available at Bearcat Stadium. Please display your handicap placard or license plate to be granted access to park in the designated areas.

Home Side

Handicap parking is available on the home side of the stadium along North Rusk Street. Accessible seating is available at the top of the home side of the stadium, section C, rows E and F.

Visitors Side

There are also a few handicap parking places on the visitors side of the stadium, with entry using Pecan Street. Accessible seating is available on the southwest corner of the stadium on the visitors side, field level.

Please call Athletics at 903-891-6453 for additional guidance and information. Note: The new stadium under construction at Sherman High School will provide more accessible parking and seating options, as well as an overall improved spectator experience. 

Sherman ISD broadcasts high school athletic events from Bearcat Stadium on the Sherman ISD YouTube channel. There is no charge to watch the live stream.

Please use the form below to request sideline media credentials. Requests must be received three school days before initial event coverage. Late requests will not be considered. Credentials will be confirmed or denied by Wednesday afternoon of game week.

Press Box Access

Please note that a sideline media pass does not grant access to the press box at Bearcat Stadium, and SISD is not able to accommodate additional individuals in the press box due to limited space. The district is excited to open a new stadium at Sherman High School in 2026 that will provide additional opportunities for media to access the press box.

Please contact the Athletics Department for information on scouting and to obtain a free game ticket:

 Sherman ISD monitors weather conditions throughout all athletic events. In the event Bearcat Stadium has to be evacuated for safety reasons, Piner Middle School (402 W. Pecan St.) will serve as an indoor shelter location.

Guests may either shelter in their vehicles or at Piner. Guests who choose to shelter at Piner should enter on the east side of the school through the gym doors.
