Physical Education

Elementary students take off for a relay race.

Physical education is the teaching and leading of physical activity in a school gymnasium or other school setting. Its goal is to improve and maintain students' current health and set them on a path to a positive, healthy lifestyle throughout their lives.

Students in grades 3-12 who are enrolled in PE classes take annual physical fitness assessments that measure aspects of physical fitness such as aerobic capacity, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Parents and guardians have the right to request a copy of their child’s fitness assessment results from the school.
