Early Childhood Education
Sherman ISD offers full-day Early Head Start, Head Start and Pre-Kindergarten for free to those residing in Sherman who meet age and eligibility requirements. These high-quality programs and services are designed to give our youngest learners and their families the best possible foundation for the future.
A child must qualify to be in the Pre-Kindergarten, Early Head Start or Head Start Program. You can find more information about each program, as well as eligibility requirements and required application documents by following the links below. Please note that completion of the application does not qualify a student for the program.
Early Childhood Special Education
Children can receive special education services at our early childhood centers starting as soon as their third birthday. Early Childhood Special Education services are based on evaluation, eligibility and the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). If you believe your child needs a referral for individual evaluation, please refer to our Child Find website.
