Dual Credit

Dual credit offers students a jump start on their future.
High school students who take these college courses receive credit toward both their high school diploma and their college degree. This prepares students for the rigor of college life while also allowing them to earn transferable college credits at a reduced or free rate. Taking dual credit courses in high school saves money and allows students to complete their postsecondary education more quickly.
Sherman ISD offers dual credit courses through a partnership with Grayson College. Most courses are taught online with a Grayson College professor while a Sherman ISD staff member facilitates the class on the Sherman High School campus. Other technical dual credit courses, such as cosmetology and patient care, are taught at the college campus.
