Industry-Based Certifications

Sherman High School offers more than two dozen industry-based certifications (IBCs) to prepare students for success in a rapidly changing job environment. These certifications represent industry-valued skills that lead to employment and act as a springboard for higher levels of achievement in a student's life beyond high school.

Students can earn one or more IBCs while at Sherman High School, provided they meet the qualifications for the certification. Students prepare for the certification tests using IBC-prep curriculum and practice tests offered in their CTE classes.
