Accountability

Sherman ISD is dedicated to ensuring all students have the opportunities, support and encouragement they need to succeed, in school and beyond. For insight into student progress and achievement, select an accountability report below. Printed copies are also available at the campuses by request.
Accreditation Status: Accredited
Federal Report Card
The U.S. Department of Education requires each state to publish an annual report card with specific district and campus data.
School Report Card
The School Report Card (SRC) provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), College, Career, and Military Readiness, as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. It is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency.
Accountability Ratings
The A-F Accountability System was established in 2017 by the 85th Texas Legislature through House Bill (HB) 22 to provide clear and consistent information on how schools are performing in three key areas: Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps.
The Overall District or Campus Rating measures how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school or district prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce or the military.
Student Achievement measures whether students met expectations on the STAAR test. It also measures graduation rates and how prepared students are for success after high school.
School Progress shows how students perform over time and how the school's performance compares to other schools with similar economically disadvantaged student populations.
Closing the Gaps tells us how well a school or district is ensuring that all student groups are successful.

Notice of Performance Education Grant (PEG) Campuses

Due to the designation of these campuses as PEG based on 2025 accountability ratings, parents and guardians have the option to request an interdistrict transfer. Please note that this transfer is completely voluntary and parents are not required to request a transfer for their child. However, should parents choose to pursue a transfer, they will need to follow the Sherman ISD transfer guidelines and procedures, including deadlines for transfer application submissions.
The school district is actively supporting targeted, comprehensive improvement at both Neblett and Parker elementary schools to ensure increased student achievement as measured by state accountability.
Please contact Director of Elementary Education and School Improvement Kelly Flowers at kflowers@shermanisd.net with any questions or concerns.
TAPR
The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) pull together a wide range of information annually on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. The reports also provide extensive information on staff, programs, and demographics for each school and district.
