Sherman ISD was notified that an employee at the central office has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The last day the individual with the confirmed COVID-19 case reported to work was Tuesday, August 25. The individual was exposed to the virus by a family member who tested positive and did not have any close contact with SISD employees.
Our Sherman ISD custodial staff cleans and disinfects our district campuses and offices multiple times throughout the day, and will continue to enforce safety and hygiene requirements such as health screening, wearing masks, frequent hand washing, using hand sanitizer, and social distancing when feasible.
As a reminder, please continue to monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms daily. If you develop symptoms, please stay home, notify me or your immediate supervisor, complete the SISD COVID-19 health reporting form, and contact your physician for further instructions.
