    Gates open at 8:00 a.m.

    Ceremony 2 - Friday, June 12 at 8:00 p.m.

    Gates open at 7:00 p.m.

    Ceremony 3 - Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m.

    Gates open at 8:00 a.m.

    Cermony 4 - Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 p.m.

    Gates open at 7:00 p.m.

Student Arrival - Students will enter through the Pecan and Lincoln Street gate on the visitor’s side of Bearcat Stadium.  Prior to entry into the stadium, participating students must submit their health check survey to a Sherman ISD employee.  Regrettably, if a student demonstrates or exhibits the conditions listed in the health check survey, for the safety of all graduates and attendees, the student may not enter the stadium or participate in the graduation ceremony.

Tickets - Each student will receive a total of five tickets. Each ticket will designate a seating section for the five individuals to sit in on either the home or visitor side of the stadium. Once seated, we ask that all guests keep six feet or more of spacing between all participants, except members of the same household (five individuals or fewer). Members of the same household may be allowed to sit together in the audience but must be at least 6 feet away from any other family group at all times. Guests will not be allowed into the stadium without a ticket. There will not be any exceptions.

Health Survey Check - All graduates and individuals that plan to attend a graduation ceremony, will be required to submit a health check survey at a health check station outside of Bearcat stadium. After the survey is submitted, students will be allowed to line up for graduation, and individuals attending the ceremony will be allowed inside of the stadium. All individuals must have a ticket and a completed health check survey to enter a graduation ceremony. Health check surveys will be provided to all students during the May 22 graduation item pick-up.

Seating - Each person entering the stadium is required to have a ticket that will be color-coded to the ceremony they will be attending.  There will not be any additional tickets available.  Our seating numbers have been calculated to a level that can be managed in the outdoor venue to maximize social distancing, both during the event and during entry and exit.

Ceremony - The graduation ceremony will have students entering from the southwest or southeast corners of Bearcat Stadium. The graduation stage will be centered facing south on the north side of the football field.

Stadium Exit - After the ceremony's conclusion, we ask that all guests remain seated. We will dismiss guests one section at a time on the home and visitor sides. Guests will be dismissed starting with the lowest rows to stagger dismissal and maintain social distancing. Please exit through the same gate you entered and remember the following:

    • Maintain social distancing as you exit the stadium.
    • It is recommended that you wear a mask as you exit the stadium.
    • As you exit the stadium, please go directly to your vehicle.

We must ask all guests not to gather in or outside the stadium and adhere to all social distancing guidelines at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Photography - Individual graduate photos will be taken by John Spears of Quin Studios. Each senior will have the option to have a photo taken before the start of the ceremony. A link to the website to download official graduation portraits will be available on the Sherman High School website at www.shermanisd.net/graduation2020 after the conclusion of the last ceremony.

Graduation Livestream - Each SHS graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on the SISD YouTube channel. The live stream will not be active until 30 minutes before the start of each ceremony. Click here to like the YouTube channel page.

Inclement Weather Plan - The cancellation of a graduation ceremony due to inclement weather will be made an hour and a half before the start of the ceremony. Cancellation information will be shared with parents and students via SISD Blackboard Messenger automated call, email and text, district website, Facebook, and Twitter.  If no announcement is made, graduation will continue as scheduled.
