My name is Danna Wrenn and I am the school nurse for Sherman High School. I started with the district in the 2018-2019 school year. I came from an acute care back ground so I have had quite an adjustment to the life of a school nurse. My last job before coming to SHS was working as a house supervisor for TMC Bonham. My duties included responding to all code situations throughtout the hospital and coordinating and assisting with patient transfers to other facilities and within our hospital. Before working as a house supervisor I worked in the ICU as the primary nurse responsible for patient care. I have been a registered nurse since 2003 and have a background in Cardiac, Orthopedic nursing, and some wound care experience. Working on the medical surgical floor for over 6 years I feel that I have the experience to triage most situations with a calm, accurate, and caring attitude. I have assisted with multiple code's being the lead RN in many cases and know what it means to rely on team work for the best outcome. Since coming to Sherman ISD I feel the nurses we have throughout our district are well trained and have a very caring heart and want what is best for our students. I am very proud to be part of this team and will assist in any way I can to insure the students have a safe environment for learning.
