Board of Trustees approves new elementary and middle school boundaries
The Sherman ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the recommended plan for new attendance zone boundaries at its December 16 meeting. The adopted attendance boundaries for middle school will go into effect at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year when SISD officially opens the district’s second middle school. The adopted attendance zone boundaries for elementary schools will go into effect at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year when Sherman ISD fully transitions to K-5 elementary campuses.
The approved boundaries were recommended by Sherman ISD administration after thorough demographic research, community meetings, and the review of all submitted community feedback. Over a span of three weeks in November, six meetings were held at Crutchfield Elementary, Fairview Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Neblett Elementary, Sory Elementary, and Piner Middle school. The information shared during each of the community meetings was placed on the SISD website in November and the newly approved attendance zone plans are available for review or download below. Additional information regarding the new attendance zone plans and the SISD Transition 2020 project is forthcoming. If you have any questions or need additional information, you may email SISDinfo@ShermanISD.net.
