My name is Mariana Salazar and I am so excited to be a Washington Elementary!

I am from Arequipa, Peru, and graduated from Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru with a degree in Business Administration. I obtained my teaching certificate through Region 10 in 2003, when I moved to Dallas with my family. I have 2 daughters, and a husband that also works in the education field.

I have taught 2nd for 9 years, and 3rd grade the last 5 years, and am so excited to be teaching! 

I have lived in McKinney for the past 16 years and worked in Garland for 14 years, and then in McKinney one year. I am loving exploring Sherman and the feeling of a small town :)

A few things I love: traveling, dancing Zumba, reading, catching up on TV shows, playing with my Sheltie, Finni, and visiting my family in Peru.

I cannot wait to get to know you all! I love to be in contact with my parents at all times, so feel free to email me anytime!
