Each public agency must ensure that the child is assessed in all areas related to the suspected disability, including, if appropriate, health, vision, hearing, social and emotional status, general intelligence, academic performance, communicative status, and motor abilities.
What We Do
- When a student being referred is suspected of having an Emotional Disturbance (ED), or Autism (AU), the campus Diagnostician should immediately notify the child find coordinator to add it to the evaluation log and will request a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to be a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) along with members of the autism team, if appropriate.
- The REED will be reviewed, Notice given, and consent obtained. The campus multi-disciplinary team will be responsible for completing the assessment within the timeline and then presenting the information the the ARD/IEP Committee.
