Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Scott Johnston
I am so excited to return home to Sherman! I look forward to getting to know the staff and students and building a culture of respect and excellence at Sherman Middle School. My experience at DAEP, Bootcamp, JDC, and Perrin as the assistant principal has really helped me learn strategies and methods to help all our students to be successful. I also had the privilege of working at Sherman High School as an Assistant Principal. That experience will help me to prepare our students for their futures to come.
Throughout the year, you will hear much about "The Bearcat Way.” We will teach our students life skills that will help them grow and develop into positive contributors to our local community. They will learn how to work through conflicts, build resiliency, and develop character to prepare them to navigate the challenges of the future.
One of our common topics that will be discussed all over campus is how to add value. Students will learn that they are valued, how to recognize value, and how to add value to themselves, their family, and their community. We as a staff look forward to working together with the parents and members of the community to build incredible Bearcats at Sherman Middle School.
